From June 2020, everyone can dine and relax again under an enchanting, crystal starry sky in Noorbeek (NL). The terrace of Saint Brigid Inn (Herberg Sint Brigida) has again been transformed into a special and intimate place where you can dream away under the crystal chandeliers by artist Jonathan Wanders. Sheltered by a stately silver lime (linden) tree, you imagine yourself in Italy or France.

At the intersection of roads between Margraten (NL-De Plank (B) and Noorbeek-Slenaken is a national monument of great historical value in the municipality of Eijsden-Margraten (NL): the former monastery complex Hoogcruts. After a devastating fire on September 6, 1979, it was a ruin for years. Stichting het Limburgs Landschap (The Limburg Landscape Foundation) bought the ruin in July 2011 and started with the clearing of rubble and repairs, consolidation, restoration and renovation.

During the descent of Mheerelindje hill, passers-by are surprised by the beautiful hilly landscape of Noorbeek (NL). Since 28 May 2016, this panorama has been completed with the name Wijndomein Mergelsberg (Wine Estate Mergelsberg), which belongs to the winery behind the marl blocks. What is special is that the lettering against the marl blocks is made with a 3D printer made from recycled PET bottles. This project originated from a collaboration between artist Jonathan Wanders and winegrower Peter Mergelsberg from Wijndomein Mergelsberg.

In 2000 Brigitte and Frans van Wissen started for themselves in the Saint Brigid Inn (Herberg Sint Brigida) in Noorbeek (NL), dating from 1885. Without compromising on quality, they chose for small scale and simplicity in their own business. But also for top gastronomy and honest-warm hospitality. Herberg Sint Brigida consists of a restaurant, hotel rooms and two terraces.

In April 2014 they commissioned Jonathan Wanders to completely restyle the front terrace: to extend the warm and authentic atmosphere from the inside out, with the emphasis on quality and intimacy.
