Monday, October 10, 2022, the first edition of the participatory and social art project 'Join the Party' will start at Cicero Care Center Ave Maria. An initiative of artist Jonathan Wanders and a special collaboration with the residents, staff and visitors of Ave Maria. It is an invitation to connect, a call to an open dialogue, to meet each other, to promote the enjoyment of life and to create something special together.

Rainbow Sundance is a contemporary, colorful and dynamic translation of the Cramignon. A traditional circle dance that is danced in various places in the municipality of Eijsden-Margraten (South Limburg, Netherlands) and in neighboring Belgian places in Wallonia. The artwork 'I can't breathe' is an ambiguous representation of the systemic (systematic) oppression in our (Western) society. The work holds up a mirror to us. We live in an unjust and unequal society. A faulty system. The phrase "I can't breathe" is like a mantra of systemic oppression ending in noise and tragedy. The words are aggressively intertwined like a kind of impenetrable chainmail which makes any dialogue impossible. A chaotic darkness.

If you want to keep history alive, you have to excite people again and again. The Remembrance Road art project was a lively, exciting and temporary monument. This second edition could be experienced from April to June 2015 along the provincial road N278 (connection Maastricht-Aachen), between Margraten and Cadier en Keer (NL) ánd along the thoroughfare at Henri-Chapelle (BE). This on the occasion of the annual Remembrance Day (May 4), Liberation Day (May 5) and Memorial Day (end of May).
